Does my parent need to know how to use a smartphone?
No, absolutely not. TamTam's interface is designed for people who have never used technology. A single large button allows them to call, send a message or view photos. There are no menus, no settings to configure. You set everything up from your own phone.
Is the app really free for the senior?
Yes, completely. The senior never has to pay anything, ever. The Care Circle subscription (€9.99/month) is taken out by the caregiver or a family member who wants access to the monitoring dashboard, alerts and the web portal. The senior uses the app for free.
What happens if my parent doesn't have Internet?
TamTam works best with an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). However, essential features like medication reminders and the SOS button work even offline. Messages will be sent automatically once the connection is restored.
How does the web portal work?
The web portal allows family members who haven't installed the app to communicate with the senior. They receive a link by SMS or email, click on it, and can read and send messages directly from their browser. No installation, no account needed.
Can I share management with other caregivers?
Yes, without limit. You can invite as many caregivers as you wish to your circle. Each caregiver receives alerts and can view the dashboard. The Care Circle subscription allows managing up to 2 care circles.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. TamTam is GDPR compliant (General Data Protection Regulation). Your data is hosted in Europe, encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your data or share it with any third party. You can delete your account and all your data at any time.
What phone does my parent need?
TamTam works on iPhone, iPad and any Android smartphone or tablet (from €50). No need for a recent or expensive model. A simple device with a large screen will do perfectly. We recommend a 10-inch tablet for optimal comfort.
